Down on Grandma's Farm

We did it!
Despite one kid (Ella) getting carsick and the drive taking longer than we had planned, we finally made the road trip to Southern Minnesota and visited Tom's Mom -- Grandma Della -- at her farm!!
Our visit was shorter than we had hoped, but it was a nice time and all four of us are looking forward to heading back when the weather is warmer and there's grass on the ground, rather than snow.
We have a lot of exploring to do!!

Aquarium Fun

Yesterday we spent the morning at the Mall of America
Underwater Adventures Aquarium.
GREAT Time!!

Ella and Zoe loved the baby sharks, the big sharks, the seahorses, the starfish and the crabs. They also loved going for a ride at the amusement park, checking out LegoLand and having lunch at McDonalds : ) What a fun way to start out the week!

Buffalo Vacation

Ella and Zoe spent the weekend at my parent's house in Buffalo.
They called it their 'vacation' and had their suitcase packed
hours before they left.

They had a SUPER time, but who wouldn't when there were milkshakes for lunch . . .

. . . a cookie picnic snack in bed after their nap . . .

. . . and more ice-cream for dessert!!

Plus, they had all sorts of playtime with Grama Dianne,
Grampa Lindy AND Annie Dog!
Good Times!!

I love how much they love spending time with their grandparents : )
And I really appreciate the extra time Tom and I get when the girls are with my parents -- thanks Mom and Dad!!

(Had to include this photo -- Grampa was telling them a story and for some reason the looks on their faces really makes me laugh)

Snow Chairs

Ella and Zoe decided they need a place to rest when they're playing outside. These snow chairs have become their resting spot, their own individual cars (for when they're driving to Grampa and Grama's house) and a city bus (I'm the driver). They put on their seat belts, turn on their music and sing in rather loud, off-key voices -- on all of our trips. Our neighbors must love us : )

Because There's Still Snow in Minnesota

We made a Snow Caterpillar.
Zoe added the antennas and Ella added the eyes.
They both thought he needed a big mouth
and spent quite a bit of time feeding him.
And admiring him.
And riding on his back.

I think our Snow Caterpillar is pretty cool,
but I'm ready for the snow to start melting.
