Busy

Life has been busy (good busy).
My blog has been somewhat neglected.
We've had a TON of snow and it's been really cold, but the girls (and the snowmen) love the weather ......

And these two goof balls:

They're starting KINDERGARTEN next Fall, so that means Tom and I have been busy learning all about the schools in our area, touring them and making some big school decisions.  We live in a great district so we can't go wrong with our final choice, but it's a big process and has been time-consuming.

I'm also having a hard time moving past the fact that Kindergarten truly is just around the corner.  It really seems like my two mask-making, snowmen-building big girls were just my teensy-tiny-snuggle-babies not too long ago.  Sigh.

And as for me, my leave is up this spring so I'll be heading back into the classroom this fall too.  I'm not sure what school I'll be at or what grade-level I'll teach, but I am so excited about all the changes, for all of us : )

The adventures do indeed continue ....

Wow, so many changes! They look super cute next to that snowman.

I'm not sure what to do next year. Pierce can't start kindergarten because he won't be 5 until late October. So we could do private preschool again, but all we can afford is 2 half days a week and I hate all the driving to get there. Or he could go to an all day every day preK program, which would be free and he could ride the bus, but that seems like a lot of school for this age. Hard decisions, you know?

I love that snow picture. What an awesome looking snowman!

I'm curious to know when you took a leave of absence from the classroom. I was granted a two-year child rearing leave of absence the fall after my twins were born, but then was unable to get another leave when my time was up and ultimately ended up resigning last year. I plan to go back to teaching (elementary school) when my guys go to kindergarten in 2013, but I'm already a little nervous about what it will be like having to apply and interview all over again.

Good luck with the school search. It's nice to know that you can't go wrong in making your choice.

Looks like they are having a great time playing with snow.

I know that you are going to find the best school for them.
