Self- Confidence

Ballet finished a month ago, but the self-confidence that developed through those classes continue to be a positive for both Ella and Zoe, but Zoe in particular.  Ever since the girls started ballet (when they were just three), Ella had a more laid-back, this is fun, I'm going to have fun, hey --- look at me in the big mirror approach to class, where Zoe was more serious, was very focused on watching Ms. Zachari and was very precise learning her ballet moves.  Ella was always respectful but we heard more comments like 'Ella, eyes on me', while Zoe would get so into what she was doing she would barely even smile, even though she was loving every minute of dancing.

During the last actual class before the dress-rehearsal for the recital, something clicked in Zoe.  She was spot on with her ballet, but she also got goofy and showed her silly self a bit.  Some of her friends even commented that they hadn't ever heard her giggle so much : )

The silly Zoe we see at home all the time has started to emerge, and has continued to in different situations.  She can still be more reserved initially, even in familiar settings, but once she gets going she is a fire-cracker --- and I love seeing that happen more and more as she gets older.  And sweet Ella, she still enjoys catching glimpses of herself in mirrors or any sort of reflective surfaces, and I just love that too : )

Isn't it so much fun to see the pervasive personality traits start "crossing over?"

Your girls are precious, and these pictures evidence it charmingly. :)
